Actually, the deepest part of the trench runs next to the Island of Saipan, not Guam witch is almost 200 miles away. I can see the trench from my beach home on Saipan. I haven’t made it to the bottom yet!!! But I will see if our dive shop can start selling Marianas Trench cert. cards from PADI. I think PADI will go for it but, it will cost another dollar in!! (I think there is a joke in there somewhere)

I didn't get a card for my dive in the 12,000 ft. deep Puerto Rico Trench. :(

I got my Trench Provisional in Kona when I did the Lemon shots at 110 over the 6400 foot bottom.

If only I'd gone to, maybe, 1200 FSW... maybe I would have cleared my card.
