Would not it to be too close range wise to get to the subject ? even with 105 you have to be pretty close... Even with DX,
I never had a chance to do shots with 60mm but did with 105 and 200

Linda got the 60 in the water Sunday, and was quite happy with it.
It's more autofocus friendly than the 105, and the working distances
were not a problem. We dive Monterey, and you want to get as
much of that green water as possible out from between you and
the subject. Heck, I shoot a 50mm on a full frame "sensor" (film),
and working distance is not a problem.
 
Yeah I do the same, you can get away with pretty much any FX lens on a DX camera but alas, wide angle ones has to be DX :)
That's just function of the available lenses. I love the 13mm on
my RS, and would be quite happy with an 8mm on a DX camera.

Has anyone already tried it? I have a 105 VR but I feel it too heavy when shooting. I'm thinking about selling the 105 and buying the 85... :eyebrow:
