af vs af-s

With a nikon d7000, is there much, if any, of a difference between the af and af-s lens? I am looking at the 60mm macro, the cost difference isn't much, especially considering the total cost of the system, but why waste extra money when it isn't needed?

Go AFS on the 60. I have both of these lenses because I wanted to answer the question myself. I use a D200 (6 years old), and the obvious speed difference is worth the additional cost of the AFS 60.
