Agenda for March 2nd Dive Club Meeting at Gander Mountain 7 PM
7pm 8pm Discussion on moving away from MeetUp.com
This was an OK site and served its purpose early on with our meeting and discussion needs, but the thought is we have outgrown it. Many members have expressed interest in posting videos, links to other web sites, etc. we donÃÕ have the flexibility that having our own site would allow. In other words, we are looking to get ÅÕhe most bang for the buck? There are quite a few options that the organizers have in mind (more SCUBA related and less dating related), but we would like your input. Please, attend this meeting but, if you canÃÕ attend, post your ideas here. Whatever the decision, we will keep the members informed.
8pm 8:20pm Dives done recently, up-coming dives
For now March 7th it is planned that there will be a dive at Blue Springs on March 7th (providing that the manatees cooperate!). There is also a Meet and Greet (free food!) that day at DAYO SCUBA and sponsored by Dayo and ScubaBoard. Right now IÃÎ planning to do both dive in the AM and Dayo around 2PM. If there is no dive, IÃÍl be at Dayo about noon. This will be a great place to get all of your SCUBA questions answered by some of the BEST INSTRUCTORS IN THE BUSINESS, the price is right free AND you can get an air or NITROX tank filled for free also. What more could you want.
We wil also have a BIG announcement at this event! Can't wait to announce it.
There is also a dive trip to the Keys mid March which we are tagging Å£ryan and SteveÃÔ Great Adventure? Starts out in Pompano and they are diving their way to Key West. Any and all can meet them along the way. Knowing these guys, you will have a good time! Check out the dates on the message board.
In the March/April timeframe, IÃÍl have some advanced students doing dives at DeLeon, Blue Grotto, a night dive at Ginnie or Weeki Wachee along with some pool work for a class of new divers (if you need a refresher, this is the time to do it just contact me). All are welcome to attend these dives. DeLeon is the only one that I will have a restriction on the number of divers I can take in.\, again just let me know if you would like to tag along.
No one can ever say we are not active divers and we donÃÕ offer dives for ALL levels of certification. Let us know where and when you want to dive.
