I've kept my tanks as low as 100psi in non-season

Whoa, I must have missed the memo, there is a non-season now? :)

As far as air staying good, one of my buddies used a tank of air from an aluminum tank after a 10 year surface interval. For the price of a fill, I wouldn't have done it, but he is still alive and finning.
