I recently bought the Akona Wet/Dry Day Pack (http://www.akona.com/pdf/Page_018.pdf), thinking it would be a great multi-purpose bag to carry my stuff on the boat, and as a carry-on too.
But I can't figure out if the bottom part will actually stay dry, seeing that the dry compartment zipper looks just like the other zippers. The last time I went on a boat dive, we had to wade out to the boat, submerging just about everything we had (including the bags). I don't want to figure this out the hard way.
The bag didn't come with any spec sheet, and I actually had to visit Akona's website to figure out that the bottom compartment was the dry one. What makes that compartment different from the others? Just the separator?
If anyone has expereince with this bag, please let me know. Maybe I'm just over analyzing this whole thing.

PS. I know I should have done the research before buying the bag, but I thought it would be cut and dry (no pun intended) when the bag arrived :dontgetit
