OK, finally some progress. Tocadamerica@msn.com may not be current. This was the listing in the instruction material with the unit. Looked on the internet and found this:

Detailed warranty service instructions. Also a different e-mail address. We'll see how this goes. Looks like the Sunpak is headed for New Jersey.

How much bad luck can one guy have? Didn't you Yoda have a nice e-mail conversation about your 5050 aswell? Hope things turn out ok and you get your strobe back and well things usually tend to turn out ok

So we won't be seeing any macros from you in a while? Too bad..

Thanks for the well wishes kapula. Yes I did have a hic-up or two this year with the 5050 due to the sensor replacement issue. All seems to be well in that department, but this is the third strobe I've had in 8 months. I'll be at least paranoid until it floods again .

Thanks for the link and update Larry C, I'll probably start chatting with them before any problems arise with my next strobe reincarnation.

My Sunpak yo-yo showed up in the mail today ---- after my dive of course . I'll put it back together and start giving it a workout next week.
