We were told about a bait ball in the week that I was there (19th to 26th May) and a guide and I went in search of it. All we found was a bait "pinhead" composed of about 50 to 60 fish at most.

I heard somewhere, maybe here, there were fishermen netting the bait at one point.

You are correct, apparently fishermen from curaco came over and we're netting the bait ball. There was a small article with someone complaining about it on bonairereporter even.
