Hi Guys,
Just spotted this
43 Rumors | Blog | Samyang 7.5mm m43 fisheye lens coming in September (+ first image samples!!!)
alright its manual focus only, but its small, and will be a hell of a lot cheaper than any of the Pana/Olympus equivalent lenses, just need to rig up a focus gear and away we go, may be worth a pop if it will fit in the zen domes !

Mooseman

Most probably won't fit in my ZEN 9-18 dome......and let's hope the diameter allows for a focus gear!

This lens is as small as the Panasonic 8mm fisheye and as such will only work well with a matching dome port like the ZEN Underwater fisheye port for the Olympus E-PL1/2 housings and the 4.33 inch dome port for the Nauticam housings for the Panasonic GH-2/GF-2 and the Olympus E-PL2. An Sony E-mount 8mm fisheye version of the Samyang lens is also made for the Sony NEX cameras. With the NEX-5 in the Nauticam housing it appears from the size of the 8mm lens that an extension ring for the port would also be need to make it fit in the 4.33 inch dome.

Also keep in mind that the lens is FULL manual, both focus and aperture rings need to be set. This would require two gears and a way to move them if you wanted full control of the lens in a housing.

The Samyang 7.5mm fisheye should sell at around $300.00 US and the Panasonic 8mm fisheye is now around $650.00 US. If you are going to use the lens on land only it might make sence for U/W work it appears a bit less useful. Set at F/8 and focused at 2FT. or so you could get buy without any gears but it would be limited over the all auto lens.
