Beaufort, SC, USA
Where: Beaufort, South Carolina, about an hour North of Savannah, GA and not far from Hilton Head, SC.

What: Fossil diving in the May River, near Hilton Head island. This river is known for giant shark's teeth and all sorts of history, such as cannonballs and 150 year old bottles. It's a very cool dive, and our local divemaster has agreed to show us "his spots" for finding the great stuff! This dive is FREE! Of course, we've all agreed to throw a generous tip to our divemaster for the knowlege! Gear can be rented if needed, from the local dive shop for around $40 if you need it. Expect very low visibility (somewhere in the 1' to 2' range) and some strong current is possible, although we'll be diving at slack tide. Max depth will run somewhere around 20'. Water temperatures are close to 75*.

Who: The dive club, "Lowcountry Scuba." http://www.LCscuba.com . We are nonprofit and nonexclusive. You do not need to be a member to dive with us.

When: Meeting at Palmetto Dive Center ( http://www.PalmettoDiveCenter.com ) the morning of the 10th of May.

We have no limit as to how many people can attend the event. In fact, the more, the merrier!

For more information, email Al or Jason at pdc@LCscuba.com .

See you there!
