Anybody have any experience with one of these, Opinions?

I run mine on single phase, 7.5 horsepower electric no problem. The current motor i bought on Amazon for about $600 and it has a few years and a few thousand hours on it. So converting to single phase is not expensive or a big deal, but the motor contactor will have to be changed to a larger one as single phase takes more current than 3 phase. I have a "Made in West Germany" shroud but I'm not selling it.

You should be able to throw a 7.5 or a 10HP single phase motor on it, and run it fine. I had a Bauer k14 and ran it fine with a 10HP.
