There are lots of good shops in the Boston area and lots of good diving spots. The best known is Cape Ann, North of Boston. There are lots of really good dive sites up there. There are also quite a few good sites on and off shore South of Boston and around the Cape Cod. There's also good diving to be had down in Rhode Island, not really that far away from Boston. Recommendation for a particular shop would depend on where in the Boston area you're looking. They are all over. Also, browse through the New England Lobstah Divahs forum here. You may find some more info about diving and shops in the area. Lots of local divers post there as well. Hope this helps!
