I am currently shooting with an Olympus SP 350 but thinking about upgrading to a Canon s100 in an Ikelite housing. I love shooting super macro with 2 stacked Inon 165 lenses. My inon lenses are AD mount so I would need to get the 67mm to AD mount adaptor. Does anyone have any shots they can post with this cam and/or with the inon lenses?

Thanks
Karen

I went from the Olympus SP350 to Canon S95 and the difference is unbelievable

My macro lens' are on order, and I'll be stacking them on my trip to Egypt next week
Hopefully I'll have some pictures to show
I've never used the macro lens before, so they may well come out rubbish

I also have the bug eye macro fish eye, which I really like

Have a great trip Layla! Be sure to practice with your macro lenses and your camera in the housing before you go. Post some pics!

I use the s95 in Ikelite with the UCL-165AD (only one, though--so far). With the 67mm to AD adapter, you have to zoom in order to eliminate vignetting, which is not really an issue with macro, but is with the UFL fisheye in case you ever want to go that route.

I have a couple of photos using the single UCL on my blog post from Memorial Day: Wreck Alley and Kelp with Marissa Charters - San Diego Dive Boat Trip Report (nudibranch photos on the Ruby E wreck).

This was taken by an S95 using triple stacked Inon UCL-165AD 67 mm lens on Patima Housing with Intova iss4000 strobe; imagine what an S100 can do

using the AD mount adapter on the S100 will add to the vignetting with just the UCL165s alone....but not a big deal if you're zooming.

I would have to disagree with the inon WA being "better" than the époque. More convenient, depending on the mount, yes. Better? Not really.

Better as it doesn't actually vignette at 24mm and Inon lenses have better glasses than époque
You can see tests of both lenses on the cameras underwater (UK) site
The époque not only is narrower but has considerable more fringing which affects image quality at the corners
The total cost of the canon plus inon mount an lenses is less than ikelite and epoque and you end up with a bayonet and superior optics
Unless you dive and take photos below 40 meters there are no benefits of the ikelite set compared to canon in my view

stacked UCL165AD's, using the LD>AD adapter, will vignette on the S100...i tried it while i had an AD mount converter with my old UCL165ADs before i sold them.
