ummmm ... better for what? I have a big honking Gerber Moray that's been in the water a couple of times, and a relatively small Gerber River Shorty that's been underwater hundreds & hundreds of times.
Knife design/type is dependent on what you're going to be doing with the critter.
Get 'em both, plus a few extras.
