Plus, we dive in the shadow of an active volcano to feel the bubbling hot springs, and even take a stroll on land with Komodos giant lizard population.
As you know, the Arenui is an exquisite ship and a work of art in itself, with its wooden detailing and decorative touches. Enjoy our exceptionally spacious cabins, tastefully furnished with exquisite handicrafts from each of the Indonesian provinces. The luxury extends to our dive operation, with small groups and expert guides. Our 3 Indonesian divemasters (Ali, Toby and Wawan) are rated amongst the most knowledgeable in the region. Ali was trained for many years by Larry Smith (the legend of Indonesians diving industry)., Wawan has spent several years diving Komodo and Raja Ampat areas and Toby has an amazing knack for spotting rare critters (famous for being the first to spot the psychedelic frogfish in Ambon Bay). The whole operation is led by our 2 highly experienced western cruise directors, Jerry and Debbie.
With 22 crew serving a maximum of 16 guests, we aim to make your cruise a truly relaxing and first-class experience!

Alor-Komodo 13-night Cruise
- Embark 25 September, Maumere. Disembark 8 October, Labuanbajo.
- On this two-week trip, explore sites east of Flores and the Pantar Strait, as you discover the magic of Alor - one of the best kept secrets for diving in paradise. Keep a look out for one of Alors most photogenic stars - the beautiful Rhinopia scorpionfish - which are plentiful in this area. Also on this trip, see the famous Pura Island villagers splash out of their wooden dugout canoes and dive underwater with home-made goggles fashioned from wood and glass bottles!
