Can we doo shore dives in Aruba, like bonaire? or do we have to use a Dive op? I think I have all the rest of the details worked out

I only did one shore dive there. It was a night dive. All the rest of the dive sites we hit needed a boat. That's not to say there is no shore diving - I just didn't do too much when I was there.

The sites are not marked and the operators aren't generally set up for it, but there are some fun shore dives. We used www.shorediving.com to look up some dive sites before we went down there last November and used Mermaid Divers for tanks and weights. The visibility was not as good as Bonaire, but the water was warm (84 degrees) and there was lots of fish life and certainly a lot more night life.
