Hmm Thinking about getting one for my D200 housing. The only reservation I have is that it is not a 45deg angle viewer. I wanted something that I can use to look at the viewfinder other than straight behind the housing. What are the advantages of the viewfinder?

In a nut shell it get your face away from the housing and provides a larger view a big improvement on the D70 and 20D "peep hole". Tim tested the D200, and liked it so much he sold his 20Ds and went back to Nikon. now I have both a 20D and the D70 and will futz with them for awhile and decide which path I will take.

The 45 degree is nice, I used Wylands a couple of years ago, but I do not have Wyland's budget so the Seacam is out of my league.

below is the link to the viewfinder info.

I ordered one for my D200 housing. Should be here in the next week or so. Just to clarify, though. I spoke with Jean at Aquatica about this and the retrofit is only for the D70/20D/D2X/5D housings, and not required for the D200. The retrofit is a new or modified housing back so that you can accomodate the viewfinder, which means for a retrofit, it is the cost of the retrofit plus the cost of the viewfinder. For D200 users, the retrofit is not required.
