After a quiet and sunny crossing spent laughing and catching up with old (and new) friends, we arrived at Cocos Island. What better way to celebrate Christmas and the New Year than at one of the most beautiful dive paradises in the world.

Highlights of the trip included a BAITBALL, crystal clear blue water, Galapagos sharks, tiger sharks, hammerheads, batfish, turtles, dolphins and large schools of jacks. We also saw whale sharks at Manuelita and Viking Rock. Manuelita Channel was the best spot to see the elusive tiger and over at Dirty Rock we spotted a silvertip shark as well as an enormous school of bigeye jack. Alcyone had the biggest sized schools of hammerheads, but we had to return a couple of time to catch the action. We spotted the baitball nearing the end of our dive to Shark Fin Rock - AMAZING!!!. Witnessing the incredible biodiversity underwater coupled with the birds swarming overhead was simply breathtaking.

As we departed Cocos, a smooth and serene ocean gave way to an extraordinary sunset. As we looked back on our fantastic week of diving and at the new friendships we've made we cannot wait to see what 2014 has in store, we can only hope that this group finds themselves back on Sea Hunter with all of us to celebrate 2015! - Cruise Director - Federico
