Have the opportunity to do a Banda LOB in September and need to decide quickly. It’s a big expense, and will be my first liveaboard. Banda has been a bucket list item but I met someone earlier this year who did a land based trip and was really disappointed and said not worth it and said it was boring as did someone ⬆️

The diving will be around Soangi Island, Manuk Island, Serua & Desperandum, Hatta, Serua. For those who have been there, are these the usual sites?

All these comments have me baulking. Whilst hammers would be awesome I thought the rest would be fantastic, lots of fish and other big stuff but now not so sure
All depends about your previous experience - where have you dived before. Seeing hammers will be a very-very-very big luck, especially in September. I personally was not impressed with Banda Sea diving. if you are excited about what you see in my video, you will enjoy the trip, just do not do a Mandarin Fish dive. You may consider of going to Raja Ampat, which will be more exciting for sure. check my Playlist About the Raja Ampat and you will see the difference.

I’ve done RA twice years ago, the first time in March was incredible, the second time in June was not that exciting but I understand that’s how seasons are. Also done Alor twice and Komodo, so have high hopes for Banda. Thanks for the feedback
