Batam from Singapore

I am going to be in Singapore for a few days and may have a day or possibly two to go diving. I see that Batam is about a 45 minute ferry ride away. Would I be able to find a dive shop, with equipment rentals, that I could use to get a couple of dives in? Any other advice about were to do some diving that would be close enough for a day trip or a quick overnight?

when are you coming to Sing.
If after March. I'd recommend you to go to Tioman. much nicer than diving in Batam.
diving in Batam is about the same as diving in Sing water. which if you are very very lucky you get 5m viz.

Thanks for the info. I will be in Singapore at the end of this month. Anything to do then or should I just wait until the next time.

if you are desperate.. contact friendlywaters index , or Pulau Hantu they may organize one day diving around Sing water
