We use Simple Green in a big garbage can with water to rinse all of our gear, including the inside of our BC bladders. Then a major rinse with fresh water and a 1 cup of water with alcohol based mouthwash mixed in, and hang to dry (periodically opening the lowest valves to release settled water).

The mouthwash leaves a minty freshness for the first time we use the inflators afterward!

I've never rinsed mine but it is only 8 years old with a couple of thousand dives completed.

I installed the Zeagle BX removable inflator, which I believe can be used with non Zeagle BCs as well. After diving you attach a garden hose to the BC hose and flush.

Very interesting, but a little expensive at $188.50.
It does however have great reviews.
