Hello, my name is Robert

I am not a diver but a like to tinker in the garage. I found a patent owned by the US Navy that would use a vacuum like a suction cup and wax to create a seal to make a rapidly attachable device to surfaces underwater. It seems like a device to rapidly attach to surfaces other than steel would be beneficial to the diving community as a whole. I haven't seen anything like that except the magnets. I built a very crude device to test the concept and I was surprised. I posted the videos in the link below. Would this be a tool divers would buy for the right price? Any comments would be appreciated.

I think the hull cleaners already use them.
