Hello! So, I have very bad bunions/hammertoes. I've never had a problem with them in the water though, but recently I have been getting horrible big toe cramps. I have very good form and never get cramps in my legs or calves...I was wondering if there was anything I could do, IE: Are there ways to tape the toe/arch to minimize the spasming in the muscles that causes this?

This is assuming that your cramps are caused only by overexertion which is not necessarily true. It should be checked; either with whoever's familiar with your case or if not, then an orthopedist (esp. a foot and ankle specialist), podiatrist, or sports medicine specialist.

But assuming so for the sake of argument, maybe a change of fins might help. For example, ForceFins(tm) free the toes AFAIK.

The trick to taping is to preserve circulation while providing the desired support and security. I don't recommend improvising; especially around joints, space is already tight. Also, taping will add bulk and change the foot's geometry which if not compensated for, can worsen or create more problems caused by ill fit.
