I recently returned from a Blackbeards trip, my first liveaboard . What a great way to get in some really good diving. Attached are a few pics, hope you enjoy.

The Tritons Trumpet is interesting! The front's all clean, funny...like they have been glued together.

Sure glad you noticed it, too! Cool pics!

love the pic of the royal gramma also

Glad to hear you enjoyed the trip on Blackbeard's. We also have some pics at the web site: blackbeardscruises.com if you get to book another return trip soon just ask to be on the same boat as Sparky. Anyone looking for warm weather and clear dives, check out blackbeards as they provide the best service for the Bahamas.

Stay Afloat,
Sparky

I'm curious, what did you think of the boat? Did you have any problems with sea sickness? I'm prone but I figure I'd load up on meclizine if I get to go. DSAO, Roger

I did the blackbeard's trip last November on the Sea Explorer. I'm not typically prone to sea sickness, but I was green as seaweed on the crossing of the gulf stream on the way out. 10-12 foot waves, wind, and driving rain for 6 hours straight. Of the 24 people on board (18 guests and 6 crew) only a few were not sick. But after that, everything else was a piece of cake. The crossing back was a little choppy, but no issues there.

That given the chance I'll be going on a BlackBeards trip. A funny story to do with that,- I had suggested the BB trip to a friend who was searching for a place to go. His father insisted on providing the rain gear as he used to be in the navy. My friend didn't look at it he just took it as it was packed. On the crossing over sure enough they were advised to don their gear as it was getting pretty rough with high winds. He says he dons the gear looking some what like the old man of the sea, he goes out on deck and the wind hits him hard. The suit was old and it just disappeared, ripped to threads and flapping in the wind. He was laughing so hard he just sat down and got drenched, of course he dosen't let his father live it done to this day.
By the way, thanks Allen for the PM. Roger

A good rain coat was definitely handy - I just picked up one at Mountain Equipment Co-Op before the trip. It helps to keep the wind from going through you too as you are pounded by the rain.
