I'm not a cave guy and have zero idea on the flow of the system there over the last month. I do know of a few systems that have stayed silted out for months due to panicked divers and their subsequent body retrieval.

There's almost no flow there, that's why it's so easily silted out by new divers doing their open water classes on the weekends.

Their update makes it make a little more sense - what Harry wrote on the website said there was "over a ton" of clay that washed or fell out of the ceiling, down to the bottom. I wouldn't think a one-time fall of a hundred pounds or so (whatever the number was the first time) would've silted it for weeks, but if it was over 2000 pounds... yeah, no question as to why it was such a mess. LOL
