Robert N. Pearson, 72 years old of Peoria, Arizona passed away October 23, 2010 at Boswell Hospital. He was born November 16, 1938 in L'Anse, MI. the son of William and Alice (Karvinen) Pearson. He and his high school sweetheart, Sharon (Walters), celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year. As a young man, he proudly served as a United States Marine. He retired as a Lieutenant from the Highland Park Fire Department after 27 years of service. Bob was a Master Scuba Instructor and owner of The Frogg Pond Dive Shop in Highland, IL for 22 years when he retired in 2003 and moved to Arizona. He trained thousands of fire fighters and students over the years, as well as organized many dive trips to exotic places where good times were had by all. During family gatherings, Bob was always the life of the party and had young and old alike laughing as he entertained them with his antics and practical jokes.

Bob will be greatly missed by his loving wife Sharon, daughters Debbie (Rich Butler) of Peoria, AZ and Sally (Doug Dostica) of Phoenix AZ, grandson Christian Normandy of Gurnee IL, Brother Bud Pearson of Northbrook IL, Sisters Billie Halverson of Northbrook IL, Audrey (Donn) Hartman of Gurnee IL, Mother-in-law Edna Walters of Antioch IL, Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Frank and Paula Merlo of Antioch IL, numerous nieces and nephews and by his faithful companions Button and Scuba.

He was preceded in death by his brother Billy-Boy, his sister Alice and his parents William and Alice Pearson.

Funeral Services will be held on Wed. October 27th at 3:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd. Peoria, AZ 85381.
