I am being asked for advice on the advisability of utilizing volunteer divers for a cleanup on and about the Imperial River. While I do have some experience doing cleanup dives, I have absolutely no knowledge of this river, so I am hoping that someone who does can give me some ideas.

Thanks in advance.

David;

I live just south of Bonita, and to be 100% honest, I've never even heard of the Imperial River. I'm aware of the Caloosahatchee (where I water ski), and the Peace River, but never heard of that one. Wish I could help more, I'll do a little research.

That being said, any idea on when this will be done?

Danny

No idea just yet, or even if it will happen. Just gathering info at this point. Anything that you can find out would be helpful.

Particularily, I am interested in visibility or lack thereof, normal currents in the river itself, possible tidal currents, boat traffic, depths in the river itself and areas around it, wildlife that might be encountered, etc.
