Lots of posts out there talking about how good they taste. Bill - any word on organized spear fishing hunts in the Flower Gardens? Overfishing can be a good thing. :)

Hey, Mary...
lol, I know what you mean; if I had my way, I'd arm a contingent of Swampers with double-barreled spearguns and just wait for the first lions to show their pointed little heads. However, I don't see that happening. In addition, as far as I know, the FG still has a strict "no speargun" rule. I guess we'll see how long that lasts after those little marauders arrive and settle in.

Who's up for a FG trip this summer to see if we can be the first to see one there???

The funny thing is 20 years ago I was diving in Florida and saw a Lionfish. Everyone told me I was full of it. Guess I was right. :depressed:
