I'm looking for advice/experience in the buoyancy difference between a lycra skin or a 1.5 mil full suit.

Up to this point I have been using a 1.5 mil suit for warm water (80+), but find myself feeling a little too warm during the dive. I cure the problem by pulling the neck open and flooding the suit with water.

I'm trying to justify the purchase with more reason than just getting too warm. If I can reduce the amount of weight I need by a worthwhile amount (more than just a pound) it could probably justify it to myself.
