I'll be getting a Canon A80 for x-mas and will be leaving Dec 27 to go to Maui for a week. I'm debating whether to purchase a waterproof case (WPDC900) off ebay for about $170. We're only diving 3 days and usually have only one dive trip a year. Will the photos turn out really good with only the camera and housing without an external strobe (read: additional $) ? Also note that I don't have much other photography experience or skills.
I'd appreciate comments about the quality of photos with just camera and housing with limited skills...I need to convince my wife, who won't be diving this time because of her pregnancy, that the housing will be necessary.
