(LESS than 2 months away now!!)....Wife & I will be there, just wondering if anyone on here will be too.......If so, we'll need to get together...Our dates on Rangi will be ~May 10th thru the 18th.................Let me know..

We were at the Kia Ora 2 years ago for 6 nights and did dive with Top Dive. They pick you up at the pier at the hotel and their shop is only a 2 minute walk down the beach. Next to their shop is a very small hut that serves lunch. Only a couple of options like burgers but their prices are about 1/3 of those at the hotel (very pricey at the hotel). We had a great time. The pass is only a 10 minute max boat ride away.

We'll be there again in June but from the Paul Gauguin cruise ship for 1 day.

Thanks for the info---wife had read about that burger place a few weeks ago--lol, sounds like a burger week for me---?.....looking forward to it.......Will post a report ?maybe as we go--but for sure when we return--hopefully complete with pics/videos..........BTW, do you remember the internet status-----lol---if any??--of the resort??........Also, maybe it's been improved upon since you were there........

Also, read the other day where (??maybe) there's a dive shop(Top Dive) now in the resort??...will try to find that info again---might have been @ Top Dive's web site--let me look right now.....

EDIT:..found what I was reading----it says "One located in the heart of the Kia Ora Resort & Spa".....

click link-is this the dive shop you were talking about???.......

I highly recommend Chez Lili and the place across the street from it, if you're looking for good food options. There's also a store where you can get some picnic supplies or beer, etc. if you'd rather relax with a drink and look for dolphins surfing in Tiputa pass.
