Just back from a week on the Nekton Rorqual and have a few unidentified photos. Any help with common names will be appreciate

- What is the white stuff in the excurrent opening
3.

- What is this coral?
4.

another coral
5.

an algae? common name?
6.

7.

a large parrotfish

The algae (5) appears to be a Padina species. In many areas the common names for Padina sp include zone-fanned algae, or just Fan algae

1) Princess Parrotfish (Initial Phase)
4) Looks like a sponge, possibly Brown Bowl Sponge
6) Corkscrew Anemone
7) Rainbow Parrotfish (Initial Phase)

Do you really think that is a sponge (#4) It was only about 8 inches across and there were many of them - they were on the walls of the blue holes. The Brown Bowls I have seen were much different.

And #6 I see the corkscrew tentacles around the animal, but is the larger, greenish part also part of the corkscrew anemone - I have never before seen that part.
