Can I fire my YS-01 strobes out of the water with out damage to strobes?

I test my strobes out of water BUT I was warned many years ago that if you shoot off too often and too quickly there can be significant heat build up within the housing. So I take a shot check it and maybe test it again but that is about it.
 
If you are using them as a strobe to light up studio shots there should be no problem unless you are shooting them more than 1/sec say. I use my YS01 all the time to shoot water drops and have had absolutely no issue (I check my strobes every few months to verify the power is fine).
