Can you identify this animal?

I took this picture in Bermuda. From a fish chart I have, I thought it was a sand diver. But then I googled it and I found them to look different. So I still don't know. This guy stayed very still, moved ahead a bit, and sat still again while I slowly came up to him.

I'm not really familiar with the fish out that way, but looks like some kind of lizzard fish.

I agree with Leesa.It is a lizzard fish. They will sit until they feel threatened and then move a short distance. A sand diver does just that when threatened.

Looks like a sand diver to me. The next contender would be the bluestriped lizardfish... but I don't see a blue stripe.

And for those who are confused, a sand diver (Synodus intermedius) is a type of lizardfish.
