Cannot download to PC/dropping time

Hi Suunto

I have an 8 month old Suunto D4i which is an awesome computer, however in the last month I have not been able to download my dives to my computer via DM4. The watch enters data transfer mode when connected, however when i turn on DM4 it will not connect. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program and all related drivers but it will not connect or download! Is there anything that can be done to get it working? It has previously worked without an issue, and I have successfully downloaded dives up until last month.

In addition, the clock seems to be dropping time by up to 10 minutes every few weeks. The battery check indicates everything is fine, and when diving its not running out of juice so is this a common issue?

Sorry for asking these questions on here but its hard to get in contact with people who know what they are talking about in Australia.
