A friend who is a kayaker got a new a30 & housing and has a (to me) strange problem. He says the housing cast a shadow across the lens. Is this normal and how do you deal with it???
Thanks:confused:

The shadow is probably caused by the housing's lens port and will only show up when the built-in flash goes off. One way to get around it is to use a diffuser placed on the outside of the housing over the flash. I'm not sure if one comes with the housing or not. If not, a piece of white translucent material can be rigged to do the job. Hope this helps.
