Hello,

I used untill now a Canon G7X Mark II and had at P setting a underwater mode that was doing better pics underwater.
Now I got a Canon G7X Mark III but this feature is missing.

Why they took out this ? For me as a dumb photographer was usefull :)

There is another setting that replaces it or I need to have a white plastic with me and do the custom white balance each time I change depth ?

Thank you
Al

Thank you

I use a different Canon but I found that manual white balancing on a patch of sand (assuming some is available) and shooting RAW was always good enough for my needs. I'm inclined to think the underwater preset is perhaps good for snorkelling depth only.
