Just thought I would pass this email along. Some members of my LDS are organizing a local dive club. I think this is exactly what the area needs.
CAPE DIVE CLUB NEWS
Finally, we have our first official meeting scheduled!
When: Thursday May 24, 2007
Where: Hyannis Golf Club Route 132
Time: 6:00 -8:00 pm
Socialize 6:00-7:00pm
Cocktails, beverages and light munchies will be available for purchase
Meeting 7:00-8:00pm
The main agenda of this meeting will be to join the club and plan for future club and its activities.
There will be information on the upcoming Bonaire Trip - Bring your deposits!
Some things we want and need from you:
Tell us what you want from the club - bring your ideas.
Volunteers/committees are needed to help organize events both diving, non-diving, travel, fund raising, etc.
A person or persons are needed to contact local businesses about sponsoring our club - maybe get them to offer discounts on certain services, sales, etc. to our members.
Club Raffle-
We want to start a club raffle at each meeting but we need prizes to raffle. We are hoping everyone could bring something, donate something, or donate a service/discount from your business or where you work. These items do not have to be SCUBA related. Remember those holiday gifts you get that you never used and don't know what to do with? Some ideas have been books, pictures, games, etc. Hopefully, some donations from our local dive stores of unsold items or freebies they get from the sales reps will come in! Clean out your closets! You are welcome to bring items to the first meeting so hopefully, we can have a raffle at the next meeting. We are looking for a donation of raffle tickets too!
Cape Dive Club Membership
Memberships are good for 1 year
Dues for divers are: Individual $40.00 Family $ 65.00 Associate: $15.00 (non-diver)
Cash or checks payable to Cape Dive Club are acceptable.
