Hi,
I had a cataract operation done on both eyes 7 years ago, the healing went perfectly well and my vision is correct. I wasn't able to find any data as to how deep i can safely dive - regular sport diving is fine, but can i go deeper, around 60m+ ?
Thanks!

Hi Clementine,

Given a cataract operation performed 7 years ago with normal healing and vision that is appropriately corrected, and a subsequent history of regular sport diving without issue, deeper SCUBA to 60m+ shouldn't put the diver at additional risk of eye problems.

Of course, one's ophthalmologist should be consulted on the matter.

Cheers,

DocVikingo
