FYI: Just booked a trip with Cebu Pacific (Taipei-Manila, Manila-Tagbilaran), and noticed that they now have a Sports Package.

The only catch is that for Scuba gear they require a hard-case.
I hope to get away with putting my regulator, first stage and console etc in my carry-on (7kg), and the BCD & wetsuit as check-in (15KG).
But, if that is overweight then I need to decide if I should buy a hard-case and get the sports package, or simply pre-pay the excess baggage charges.
They also have smaller than usual dimensions for the carry-on luggage. Before Scuba I was a one-bag traveler, and used (expensive, BUT strong) carry-on bags from redoxx ( Safari-Beanos Bag PR5 or Airboss).
The Safari-Beanos Bag PR5 is 24"Lx10"Wx10"H, but Cebu Pacific's limit for carry-on luggage is 56cm x 36cm x 23 cm. It is only a small difference, so I hope I can get away with it, as long I don't over-stuff my bag.
