We celebrate the Ides of March because we flew past $35,000!!!
What got us there in a hurry was a generous family donation from longtime supporters Mike Emmerman, his wife Patricia Stockhausen, and their son TJ at the $5,000 Platinum level. Mike is well-known as one of the pre-eminent disaster response expert. So someone with his background and credentials can easily see the value of our Chamber and the safety hole that would appear should our Chamber cease to exist. So Mike, Pat, & TJ are happy each year to contribute to the cause. And we’re happy to have them.
We’re about two weeks into the overall event process and while we’re doing well, that doesn’t mean we should rest of our laurels. The usual way things go is that we get about a 2-3 week initial surge, then there’s a lull in sign-ups, and then there’s a last-minute surge the final few weeks. So maybe in 2024, as we celebrate our Chamber 50th anniversary, we can avoid that mid-campaign lull.
