Hi All,

I shot the following video whilst on a night dive in Raja Ampat Hunting Conger Eel catches a Fish in Raja Ampat - YouTube

I haven't been able to identify whether this is the Hawiian (aka Mustache) Conger Eel (Conger marginatus) or the Longfin African conger (Conger cinereus). When looking online I see many photos of the Hawiian Conger that look identical to what I have recorded but I can't find any proper explanation on the difference between the two species.

Great video. Had almost the same experience off the Big Island. Looks like Conger there and my light kind of blinded a Tang which the Conger promptly ate. they don't seem too worried about divers.
