Bear Bottom Time ...or some form of. e.g. BearsBottomTime

Snowbear:
She floats :D

Had her out on the water today and didn't sink. Once we got back to Seward, I made a looooonnnnnggggg list of things to fix and work on :11:

But.... She floats :D:D.

Great stuff!!!

...but what, oh the suspense, what is she called?

Other suggestions, if one hasn't been already selected include "The Money Pit", and "Life Savings"...in time you will see the funny side of these, but not when you see the price list in your local chandlers.

How about "Divebear 1"

Snowbear:
Just got a screamin' deal on an unkown vintage 19' Boston Whaler. It came with a 1994 150hp Johnson Ocean Runner and a tandem axle EasyLoader trailer. As you can see from the pics, the boat needs a bit of TLC (and some electronics would be nice), but no doubt she'll float :D

So, my first "real" boat should really have a name. To make it interesting, how about a contest. With a prize to the winner.

Winner gets... uh.... how about his or her choice of a pair of blue Apollo Biofins in perfect condition or a perfectly working UK LightCannon HID light.
For the DIR divers out there - in case one ends up with the winning entry - how about a TX40 2nd stage regulator.

Hmm... we should set a few rules....

* Any contestant may submit as many boat names as you like

* Names must be within the guidelines of the ScubaBoard TOS (i.e. no profanity, please )

* I get to pick the winning name. If more than one member submits the same name and I pick it, the first one to post that name will be the winner.

* If I like more than one name and can't decide which to pick, I'll start a poll with those names and let you guys vote on it.

* Contest starts when I hit the Submit button and ends.... lets say..... June 30th at midnight?

Some hints ~

~ Her primary purpose will be to serve as a dive boat, though some fishing may occur from her deck

~ The water she'll frequent will be primarily Resurrection Bay and sometimes Prince William Sound, though Katchemak Bay is on my list of places to explore (and has the best Halibut fishing :D)

We can FIX THAT!

An old boatbuilder told me, "At the moment of launch every boat begins to sink. The harder you work on her the longer it takes."

Oh yes, the long list, I have never finished up a list of boat repairs. Every time I fix a bunch of things something else finds it's way onto the list. :eyebrow:
Of course, that is part of the fun of owning a boat.

Hey, another good name;

Long List

Bearly Enough Money

My Uncle had a boat and it was the same way. Fix one and two pop up. The one that I liked was the previous owner used an old hot water heater for the fuel tank. Well, the heater still had lime and scale build up inside and the fuel pumps just couldn't suck that crap through the lines. His second boat was a pontoon boat, low maintenance.
