Someone has loaned me an Olympus point and shoot with a housing. I want to know if there is a device to convert my Sea and Sea YS-60 strobe to a slave so I don't have to buy a new one right away. Thanks.

Thanks, someone pm'd me with the same HW adapter. It's fairly pricey and I might just sell my YS-60 and buy a new strobe. That adaptor is $129 which is a good step toward a nicer strobe.

Which Olympus camera do you have? Does it have a hotshoe? IMHO that would be your key consideration. If it has a hotshoe and you already have the cable, then $130 for a HeinrichesWeikemp adapter isn't much money for full functionality. If you grow your system in the future, you can add a slaveable, more powerful strobe, but still use the YS-60 to trigger it.

I was loaned a Stylus 760 in a PT-036 housing. Not a fancy camera, and no hot shoe. I'm sure I'm going to like UW digital photography (never could master film UW) and could definitely see buying a more sophisticated setup with a hot shoe equipped housing. Since I posted my question I've checked prices of strobes and $130 seems a bargain now. :)
