cool pix 995 flash

I just got a s&s 90dx flash for my cool pix 995 in a aquatica housing. the flash will fire unless the camera flash is in the up position. this does not seem right . does any one know if there is a way to fire an extrenal flash .

yes the flash must be up while in the housing. The housing was designed for the flas to be up. The internal flash must also be "turned off" in the flash menu. Why did you go with a "DX"? There is no TTL whith this set up. I've had some pretty god luck with the 995/ Aquatica. If you have any questions, feel free
