For those who don't like mad current, you are missing a couple of dive sites with the BIGGEST fish. Paseo de Cedral and Punta Tunich, in particular, always always always have strong current!! But they also have the biggest parrotfish, the biggest angelfish, the biggest turtles, the biggest grouper, and nursesharks.

Rainbow parrotfish... we had a half dozen there at Paseo de Cedral, all around 3-4' long

the nurse shark that lives with the green moray

scrawled filefish... a dozen of these came swimming through, against the current, at Punta Tunich. They were all at least 3' long.

and this big guy.... anybody know what type of grouper?

we thought it was a tiger grouper, but his markings - mottled tail area is confusing us.
He was big, too, at least 3-4' long.

The big guy is, indeed, a tiger grouper. Just like other groupers, tigers have different color phases. Tiger groupers are such fun hide and seek buddies. :D

We saw some of those parrotfish and grouper. HUGE guys! Wish we could have seen a dolphin while diving. :( Great pics!

Ahhhhhh, my DREAM is to see a dolphin while diving! You're so lucky, and it's awesome that you got a shot!

I love BIG coral structures.
