Its a US Divers Cousteau. The fitting that the inflators hose screws onto the bcd is cracked. It looks like it could be removed with a tool but i do not have the tool or the replacement part. Should i take it to the LDS or is there somewhere i can get the parts? I checked ebay.

Just in my experience: That plastic tool will break/strip before you can get the parts to move on a used a while BCD.

There is a metal version of the same tool that lets you put more torque on it, but it is pricey.

A used BCD will end up being cheaper maybe.

If the OD of that fitting is 1.75 inches then that is a fairly common connection. As long as it is screwed together and not welded, if should unscrew. I have always been able to get mine apart without the tool but they can be a little tricky. That crack looks like it might not even effect the function of the connection as it should all be held together by the outer ring and the seal is made on the lip of the inner ring.

You should be able to find the replacement parts here towards the bottom of the page (BC2746); http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=4219966. They used to have the tool also but I don't see it listed. A source for a better quality flange is here: https://www.deepseasupply.com/index.php?product=1333. The hexed design partially eliminates the need for the tool and makes it easier to unscrew the outer ring without unscrewing the inner connection. He used to sell just the hexed nut but I don't see that now either.
