I found a few threads that mentioned cuban food here, but they were all pretty dated, so I thought I would see what is current. We love the stuff, but being located far up in the frozen northland, we rarely get to indulge in this. We like El Casino, and I was wondering if they were still there and if they still do that fantastic cuban sampler plate that we tried last time. Any other places to suggest? Many thanks for your help. Woody

I. too am very fond of Cuban food and have looked for Cuban restaurants in Coz. I found one place that appeared to be a Cuban restaurant but it was always closed when I went by. I got mixed reports when I inquired of people in the area. Some people said it was closed, some said it was only open some days, some said only for lunch.....I think it was closed.

Unless things have changed since I was in Coz about a year ago, I am afraid the answer is no Cuban restaurants in Coz.

Hopefully, I am wrong or that has changed and someone will say so.

El Casino is still alive and kicking -- Ave. 5 between Salas & 3. There's a big La Bodeguita del Medio Cuban lounge/restaurant in the mall at the top of the ferry-pier street in Playa -- food's good but, only for that, not worth the price of a roundtrip channel crossing.
