I just did my first cyclocross race this past Sunday and had a blast! If you like a good challenge for 30 to 40 minutes, definitely give it a try. You don't a special 'cross bike either, a mountain bike without any "bar ends" will do just peachy. Now I can't wait for this weekend's race :) Plus, the nice thing is that the races are fairly cheap compared to the triathlons and adventure races I'm used to paying entry fees for.

Years ago I entered a cross race in NJ, having ridden off-road only a few times before. I remember two things about it: George Hincapie lapped me 4 times, and I beat the only girl in the field. It' a great sport but you need so much technique practice.
