Followup to OP: We just returned from a week of diving in Bonaire. I bought a Seacure mouthpiece for my wife as LiteWeight suggested. Worked pretty well for her. She had a few days her mouth hurt but that happens anyway. She took one day off diving due to mouth pain but after that she was fine. Thanks for all the input!
